COVID has forced us to alter Rotary as we know it but we haven't been idle.  Here is what we've done since President Chip first rang the bell in July.

13 - Weekly Programs
1 - Virtual Vocational "lunch"
4 - Fabulous Friday fellowship events at local parks.
One more is planned on November 6 at noon.
3 - Service Projects. One more this Saturday
2 - Bocce Ball opportunities
1 - Golf Outing
1 - Day of Fishing
1 - Hunting Outing this Friday
1 - 5k Fundraiser on October 31
Countless personal gatherings
We've been busy and enjoyed the company of those who participated.
Our October 31st WALKING WITH THE DEAD 5K and Fun Run will once again be held in person at Green Lawn Cemetery.  This fun, in-person, Halloween event will feature safety protocols, including this mask, and will be the place to be on Saturday, October 31.  Who else can say that they were in a cemetery - after dark - on Halloween.

Proceeds benefit the Columbus Rotary Club and its Foundation.

Can't join, then please share this link with your social networks.  Executive Director Scott Brown has challenged everyone to match his 5 family and friends that will participate.  (It's now 6, but who's counting!)

We are happy to report that the Columbus Rotary Foundation Annual Services Campaign is off to a great start.

As of today 62 donors have pledged $ 47,135 toward the campaign.  That represents 28% of our membership.
An additional $6,215 will be available from our matching program.  Thank you for getting us to $53,350 in our first weeks of the campaign.

Our Match program ends on October 31.  Any dollar amount over what you donated last year will be matched from this fund of anonymous donors.

This pin will be bestowed to those who have given $500 or more to the campaign.  This amount is the average donation from our previous campaign.  A list of these donors is included.

I Dare You
Following a tenant of his Presidential speech, Chip has introduced this pin that we will use to award to members this year for meeting his call to action.  He first asked that you check in on someone not on the Monday Zoom call.  That's something we should do each week.

This week's Dare - Invite a guest to a Rotary Meeting or event

Thank you again to those who hosted and participated in our October 12 Vocational Lunches.  Our hosts included:

Cory Paul and the American Red Cross,
Lea Coburn and the Arnold Sports Festival,
Rob Erney and the Columbus Bar Association,
Jim Bartha touring members around Downtown Delaware, and
Ann Ralston and Ralston Consulting, Inc.

The Delaware group met in person and submitted this photo of their small group.

The Last Word
Fabulous Fridays at Griggs Reservoir on October 18 found us assembling more face shields components for Form5Prothestics helping medical personnel.

Next event at Noon on November 6.  Same location.  We will be collecting non-perishable food for Food Drive.  Come and enjoy the fellowship, or just drive by the pavilion near the boat docks on the east side of Griggs Reservoir.
