Changing of the Guard
Jul 20, 2010 at 09:00 AM

On June 28, 2010 Sandy Knoesel accepted the presidential gavel from now Past President John Deal.  In taking the podium as the Club's 100th President, Sandy gave the following remarks,

"Fellow Rotarians, Assistant Governor Mike Brown and distinguished guests, it is a very thrilling, yet humbling experience to be wearing the pin as your 100th president.

A year ago, when I became first vice president, many Rotary friends began asking me about the goals for my presidential year and wanted to know my theme.  But, I didn’t have one yet.

If you are a hard-working undergraduate student with good grades who perhaps was not eligible for other scholarships, you need to know about this new financial opportunity. Columbus Rotary, in its role to effect positive and enduring change in the lives of others, is offering $2,500 scholarships for several undergraduate college students in 2010. Current undergraduate students are eligible if they demonstrate good academic performance in a local college, but did not qualify for another scholarship because of high school grades or college entrance exams.
